The mission of The Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology research group is to answer the fundamental questions in chronic kidney disease (CKD) epidemiology using individual patient data and rigorous methods in clinical chemistry and statistics to create useful tools for research, patient care, and public health.

The focus of this collaboration is on the implementation of glomerular filtration (GFR) equations, CKD prevalence estimates, and surrogate endpoints for kidney disease trials so that they can be used by laboratories, public health agencies, guidelines, and health care practitioners.

**The data comes from international collaborators and are combined using meta-analyses
